When the top of the draft is this bad, Ignite is going to be an embarrassment for the NBA. I assume Ignite will be ended this summer and the elite recruits will make the same amount of cash through the college OAD path. Helpful to Duke - another reason Silver will almost certainly do it.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the value to the NBA it has this point, versus just letting its future stars become much more famous in college for a year. No one gives a shit about Scoot Henderson, but if he'd had the season he'd had last year on Duke or UK, he'd be coming in as a rookie-Zion-level-name with much more casual interest despite his early struggles.

I've heard many draft experts talk about how this isn't a good path for NBA prospects. Overtime Elite has apparently not been a great option either (though better than Ignite).

Edgecombe measured at 6'3" in shoes with a 6'5" wingspan. I don't know why, but in my head I had him closer to AJ Griffin size.

Flory Bidunga is 6'7" in shoes, and only 216? That's like when we had freshman Lance Thomas at center, although Flory's arms are probably a bit longer than LT's.

This is why I thought it was crazy that people were treating him as our 3 of the future. Flory is closer to the size you'd want at the 3 than Edgecombe.
