The best way would be for a pre-season injury to happen to Trent Jr, so he has no chance of leaving early. Allen goes on to have a great senior season regardless, and any tripping negativity is no longer a worry for 2018. Trent Jr returns and Duke has Garland-Trent Jr-Reddish-Zion-Vrankovic with a solid and experienced bench of Tre Jones, DeLaurier, Jordan Tucker and Jack White.
