Can someone explain a moneyline bet to me?
#notdegenerateenoughyet
Moneyline is a straight up win/loss bet. Rather than betting that team A will win by X points, you are betting that team A will just win. When you are betting with a real bookie, usually a spread bet will have -110 odds, while a heavy favorite will be worse odds. For example, back when Duke played against Mercer in the NCAA you could bet the spread at -110 or you could bet Mercer to win at +900, meaning that you would win 900 if you bet 100. If you bet the Duke moneyline at -900 you would have to bet 900 to win 100.

Yeah, moneyline just tells you how much you win with a $100 bet or how much you need to bet to win $100.

So an underdog will always be (+) something > 100. So if it's +500, it means you win $500 if you bet $100.

A favorite will always be (-) something > 100. So if it's -500, it means you win $100 if you bet $500.

When it's a pick'em, both teams will be -110.

I have recovered from the Kiffin debacle and am now going to pull myself up from the bootstraps and regain my rightful place amongst the DF financial elite.

Posted ACC and Top 25 CFB odds. Did not separate Duke-Georgia Tech into it's own event because Zach Roper has broken me.

Kenpom says 34, but that's too low, IMO. Southern has underperformed Kenpom in its first 3 games, especially its 47-point loss at #103 Illinois. Duke has overperformed. Then again, Duke will be playing scrubs more than ever before, maybe even Jordan Tucker.

Sagarin says 38. I'd go with 38.5 to avoid pushes.

I don't even check that the Duke football line is in the right ballpark as the Vegas lines. You could put Georgia Tech at -21, and I would believe it and bet it without thinking twice.

After a hiatus, I've posted the ACC/B10 Challenge Day 2 lines on the sportsbook. Get em while they're hot!

I apologize for the hiatus on betting this weekend. Got busier than I was anticipating at work.

I have posted some lines for tomorrow's CBB matchups including the Duke game.

I'm taking suggestions on how you guy want me to post CBB matchups since there are so many games throughout the week and the lines usually only come out about 24 hours before. Please comment here so that I can get a feel for what people like/dislike/would prefer seeing.

I think it'd be great to have most (if not all) ACC matchups available to bet on once conference play begins. Plus a few other "marquee" (top 25-ish) games throughout the week from other conferences.
