This is my favorite Nate James picture. It's his 2nd best play, 2nd to his tip shot against the Terps 1 week later.

^ LOL, never realized I'm in that picture. I'm just to the left behind Peppers's butt.

Anniversary of the end of Duke law grad Richard Nixon's Presidential term.

AIW - would you include Dick Nixon with the Nazi Richard Spencer and Jay Bilas as your least-favourite Duke Alumni? Or has the passing of time allowed people to forgive him?

Spencer is a UVA grad while Miller is the Duke grad. Poor Pantonio.

Spencer was in grad school and Duke, but dropped out. He knew Stephen Miller.

I was an infant in NY when Son of Sam was on the loose. My parents have told me how scary everything fucking was.

I was 6 years old living in South Florida when Adam Walsh was kidnapped and I remember when they found his head. Nightmares. My mother was scared to take us shopping.

Great thread. Thank you for all the work you've done in here, aiw. I am a history major and plan on going to graduate school for it.

I enjoy doing it, but it can be weirdly time consuming, therefore, the long lapses.

What period will you be studying?

I'm interested in being an Americanist all the way. I haven't narrowed it down to a specific time period, but my areas of interest are urban/intellectual/pop culture/business/economics/finance (especially as it pertains to NYC). I don't have a school list yet. I still have to take the GRE, too.
