I think you'e missing the point. A well-reasoned take that is backed up with logic and/or evidence that ends up being wrong will get more respect here than a poorly-reasoned guess that turns out bring right.

Rome has a history of putting a lot of critical thought into his opinions, and we respect that even if we disagree or they ultimately aren't proven correct. No one can actually predict outcomes, obviously, so all we really care about with predictions is the thought processes behind them.

Just sort of declaring your opinions and/or backing them up with fallacious and biased logic, on the other hand, will get you ridiculed, regardless of whether you end up guessing the outcome correctly.
Fakejules is a looser.

I have equity because I am not a nationalistic bigot who equates blowing up other countries with sports, because I believe in analytics over rippling back muscles, and because when I am wrong I change my opinion. And I insult you because I want you to leave. I don't insult anyone else on this board with the exception of two other terrible posters who are still not quite as bad as you. I would not mind if they left either, but I don't make that decision.

As for diversity of opinion , I still think that Derryck Thornton played good defense. I doubt you will find many on the board who agree with me. I think Jabari was the worst defender we've had while others would say Paulus or Luke. I don't think Bolden is as hopeless as others do. Just some examples of not everyone being in lockstep. It's less that you disagree than that there are so many fallacies in your posts, such as the assertion that you just made that athleticism leads to good defense. This is worthless because it takes two seconds to debunk. It is not a defensible position, unlike my position on Carter, which I am happy to explain to you in detail, and which has some reasoning behind it even if you don't agree with it.

If you look in the Trevon Duval thread, I agree with you regarding Derryck Thornton's defense! You share great company in that opinion, aka me.

There would've been nothing wrong with Thornton if he had just had a higher bball IQ. Thornton played good defense. If Duval can just take of the ball, spread it around, handle it against pressure, commit to playing defense and get some explosive buckets in transition that's a pretty good player.

I still think Thornton could've developed into a good PG at Duke. It's funny because he probably would have helped a lot last season. Would have much rather had a sophomore Thornton than Bolden that's for sure, since that was essentially the trade.

I am nationalistic. Nothing wrong with that. We're all bigots to some degree. I am intolerant of people who want to rape, for instance. I don't care about North Korea, that's also true. Most red blooded American males don't. Analytics have their place. I change my opinion all the time.

Be a man and ignore me from here on out, I guess. Go Duke.

Slater, Rowe, and 2 others with CBs to Clemson.

Better them than Kentucky.

Good! Clemson could use the recruiting bump and I don't think Brownell is competent enough to make effective use of him.

I want Zion to go to Clemson and FINALLY break their winless streak in Chapel Hill. Do we know the home/away/both matchups for next year yet?

Hello eagle!!!! Welcome to the board!!! Please introduce yourself in the pinned thread!!

Lots of good stuff from Steve Clark over on 247 today.

This is far from over.

I'll readjust my odds to 50/50

Apparently he is announcing his school decision this Friday. No idea where he is going.
