College Basketball Recruiting

Yesterday Slater retweeted his own tweet from a month ago that said something about Chandler going to Tennessee and relatively soon, so seems legit.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me like Duke caught wind of the Tennessee stuff a while back and haven't even been in contact with he or his camp in a couple months. Meanwhile Roy and staff just had a virtual visit with him last week.
 
I am sure the lack of in-homes and campus visits isn't helping either. I know every school is dealing with the same limitations, but it feels like those visits are really where we seal the deal. People tend to be bowled over by being K's presence, or by the campus facilities, or by our presentation for how we'll use/develop a player. 40 years of experience making pitches probably gives K a leg up on most of the competition.

He is very tight with Chandler and Kim English has done an outstanding job.

Kenny Payne pretty much takes UK out of it. Duke is not really in it from what I've heard from various people, Tyler Simpson over at 247 included.

I think it's Tennessee or Gonzaga.

pretty much running 2nd and Milwaukee gonna be tough to beat because of dad
 
We need to be rooting for Hunter Sallis to Kentucky, I think. He's a top 10 guard that had UNC as his leader but apparently the UK offer has changed things.

I prefer UK because we only play them once that season and we have taken all their top prospects already, and Hardy may go to the G League.

The only other top player on UNC's board is Caleb Houstan. They're not getting Chet nor Baldwin.

Trey Kaufman and D'Marco Dunn are top 100 with UNC under strong consideration but are not immediate impact types.

Eh. IDK. Under the current recruiting style/trends, Duke has experienced its second greatest time period against UNC.

The first was 1999-2005. We won 83% of the games at 15-3.

Since the clock struck 2010, we have won 65% of the games at 17-9. And they missed 2 games of Zion and 2 games with Kyrie (we still won one of those). That's likely 3 wins right there- we'd be at 20-6.

I think the boogeyman of the multi-year Roy team is a bit overplayed.
 
Corey Evans just placed a FutureCast for Skyy Clark to North Carolina and Jaden Hardy to UCLA.

Kentucky . . . that program is reeling.
