I don’t say this often, but I completely agree with Jay Bilas. We’re moving towards a pro model one very clumsy step at a time. And now that the NCAA is effectively barred from enforcing any meaningful restrictions, it seems team/player contracts are the best (and only?) way to stem the chaos.

I think the first thing that will fall is the eligibility lost once you play for pay. Why should a professional league be able to ban you from playing just because you played in another professional league.
Which means LeBron still has 4 years of eligibility.
