Like @SeanMayTriedToEatMe stated earlier in season re: some other big man….if we can’t stop Fat Albert on offense we have to at least make him a liability on defense.

Any of our usual lineups featuring 2 bigs probably will not accomplish this.

Small sample but we’ve won both revenge games this year so maybe some evidence that Scheyer adjusts well to previous matchup problems.

Any possession that features Ryan Young defending Burns 1v1 is both a schematic failure and a human rights violation.

Maryland also won the second game at Cameron after winning the first in College Park in 2007.

Interestingly, all the post-2000 UNC sweeps have been in odd years when the first game is at Cameron (2007, 2009, 2019, 2021).

2019 has a giant asterisk anyway due to Zion, but it’s still a regular season sweep.

Burns does look less like he's involved in a jump and more like he's in the midst of a slow-mo, earth-shaking giant walk there.

Seeing Duke -4 which seems low. I was guessing at least -5, closer to -5.5.

Kenpom has it as a 5-point win.

I don't see any way this game isn't close. NC State is a tough matchup for us. And they just got destroyed at home. This is their final game of the regular season. They're going to be ready to play. If we win, it will probably be by a possession or two.

Good intuition from @dukebluedevils05. Line has already moved dramatically to Duke by 7.5 on most books, and at least 6.5 on all books. I was thinking the same - that 4.5 was a weird line - but I didn’t think it was going to move like this. Moving 3 points before midnight the prior day, with no relevant news, is crazy.

One thing to note: Duke has not lost to NC State at home with a non-interim coach since 1988. K was out for both the 1995 and 2017 losses. It would really suck to drop this game.

One could argue that Scheyer is an interim coach, but I would not be one of those ones.

After further observations I've come to the conclusion that Lively can hide directly behind Burns in order to not be seen.
