Those beautiful, beautiful jerseys...(sigh, rests head on chin, looks away dreamily)

Congrats to Shane Battier for ring #2. He was massive the last 2 games for the Heat. Probably one of the most mentally-tough athletes I have ever watched, insofar as his playoff performance (shooting wise) up to Game 6 was pretty bad and he pulled it together to have 2 very clutch games.

I must admit I was pulling hard for Tim Duncan to win title #5 (great, great player and class guy), but I am happy to see Battier win another title.

Borderline miracle Shane got hot last night. His shot was completely broken in games 1-5 plus he banked one in game six. eek.

Yeah I loved that. Is it bad that I came out of it thinking that I really respected Rose a lot more? Whatever, I did.

Yea. Rose honestly seems like a nice, intelligent guy. And Mason is one of the most well-spoken athletes out there, amateur or professional.

I loved when Simmons asked Mason about how it would feel to come off the bench and Rose was basically like "Don't try to limit him."

This inspired me to listen a lot more Simmons and Rose podcasts. Rose is legitimately awesome.

You guys have been missing out if you haven't been listening to the Jalen Rose report the last year. Some great, great insight into behind the scenes stuff.

The Fab Five documentary, a lot of the "uncle tom" stuff was taken out of context and spun by ESPN to be more anti-duke than it actually was in an attempt to hype the project. He's a good dude.

I began liking Rose when the Fab Five documentary came out.

The "uncle tom" stuff on the Fab Five documentary was really not bad in the actual documentary. That comment was quickly followed with something along the lines of respecting the whole Duke team after playing against them. Most of the tone towards Duke thereafter was respectful. Media ran way away with the comment.

That interview of Mason by Simmons and Jalen Rose was truly amazing.

I was blown away.

I had the thought of how much more enjoyable ESPN's NBA coverage would be if the pregame shows were just Jalen and Simmons with a slick host.

Seriously, I love Simmons' skill as an interviewer and Rose's as a commentator. Ask Rose a question and allow him to pontificate on it for three minutes and you're going to get something brilliant. Similarly, Simmons is maybe the best interviewer out there besides Howard Stern. Watch Simmons' interview with Louis C.K. if you don't believe me.
