Have to think the shitshow at Wake makes him more likely to play. Not sure I'd trust my franchise to a guy who ends his career with that abomination followed by getting spooked by Temple.

Duke faces Temple in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport as their coach takes the vacated job of Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech, which will be an annual game against the same style opponent moving forward so we'll see how bad this goes.

Duke is 30th in the CFI per Disney which gives hope for a 8-4 season as four ACC opponents are ahead of Duke:

This was a solid season - only the sixth eight win team we've had since 1962, four of them being under Cut - and it was great to end it on a positive note after the Wake debacle, but I do feel that with fewer injuries and better coaching, this group was capable of winning 10 games and competing for the Coastal title. The schedule is much tougher in 2019, so simply getting to 6-6 would probably be considered a successful year. I do hope some changes are made to the staff. They're sorely needed.

Roper zones out at times as OC and calling plays, but who can we get that's better? I'm not a fan of the dual responsibility with two DC's.
