I'm sticking with my Picks of Doom. I don't believe what I pick will happen, but it gives me some minute level of protection against total disappointment.
Pitt's lineup is big and slow. They like to shoot threes but aren't great at driving. They don't rebound well offensively. If there was ever a good offense that Duke's defense (lol) was made to stop, this is it.
Coach K returns. Crowd will be electric in Cameron. Duke on a winning streak albeit just two games. Kevin Stallings coaching Pitt. All positives in Duke's favor.
Duke usually gets one weekend CBS game a year during January/February. When it happens at CIS, it is typically a Dukiesrock special. Here are the last 6:
2/7/2015: Duke 90, Notre Dame 60
1/18/2014: Duke 95, NC State 60
1/26/2013: Duke 84, Maryland 64
2/13/2010: Duke 77, Maryland 56 + Zoubeard career debut
1/17/2009: Duke 76, Georgetown 67
2/23/2008: Duke 86, St. John's 56
What is weird is that when the game is somewhere else, it is usually a complete disaster:
2/28/2016: Pittsburgh 76, Duke 62
1/23/2016: Duke 88, NC State 78
1/4/2014: Notre Dame 79, Duke 77
1/30/2011: St. John's 93, Duke 78
1/30/2010: Georgetown 89, Duke 77
This doesn't even count the March games in Chapel Hill on CBS, which I don't think we ever won.
