This would be good. Not sure where the D. Thornton recruitment fits into all of this.

Everyone is looking for the next Okafor-Jones-Winslow (to a lesser extent, although I do remember he was included at certain points in their package talks)
 
A little off topic but Tyus Battle's mother is a waitress at a diner I stop by every now and then. Her mom seems to like Coach K a lot, fwiw. That's all I know. She said "he is as nice as he is in person as he is on TV"

I don't bring up Duke really I find that to be weird and I don't want to come across as if I'm recruiting her to send her son to Duke.
 
So since he doesn't come across as nice on TV, does that mean he's actually an asshole and she hates him?

I don't think Duke is in it for Udoka. I think they "kicked the tires" but couldn't get around some surrounding issues. I'll see if I can get clarification though
 
The coaches are watching Giles tonight. Good idea to make a good impression before tomorrow's decimation.

Yeah, probably telling him the whole team has been decimated with the flu and they'll be lucky if they can even drag themselves onto the court.
 
Kind of funny that our entire staff is hanging out in DA's gym tonight. I actually thought about going over there for a bit.
 
2017 Pg Blake Harris has reclassified to 2016. Probably not a positive for us unless we think Tyus is leaving.
 
Aren't we looking at 2016 PGs (Daenerys and Thornton 2.0)? Doesn't this give us another option? (I confess total ignorance to who he is and my internet at this airport sucks too much to look him up.)
 
Yeah, 2015 is where we're skipping a PG. Stupid Thain.

As a side note, should we be referring to Thornton 2.0 to as Jesus, out of respect to his father, Tyler?
 



How the fuck can Coach K just not swagger over to the dragon mother, say "Tyus Jones and Kyrie Irving vs. Joel Berry, 'nuff said", drop the mic and step over Roy's mother on the way back to the parking lot?

Road game at Wisconsin, in NC watching a recruit's game tonight. Coach K has the energy and intensity of a 35 year old coach.

Surprisingly it would be more like "Tyus Jones and Kyrie Irving vs. Lorenzo Brown and Cat Barber, 'nuff said" but still same ending should occur.

Sounds like we want him. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't be completely irate if Duke landed a top 10 recruit who has a huge body and is likely to stay multiple years due to being a little too short for the NBA.
