Eternal Feats of Strength Thread

I hit 80 wpm which is almost exactly as fast as I typed when I won the keyboarding award in 8th grade. (lol at that being an 8th grade level class any more) I haven't typed much of anything for years since I've been out of school. Anything I type these days is a few sentences on a message board or Facebook. So I'm pleased with maintaining the level I was at ~17 years ago.

Thornton, I thought I typed fairly quickly, but am only at 82 wpm.

You guys are super-human

I started doing P90X3 8 days ago. I didn't realize just how out of shape I've gotten.
How did you like it compared to the original p90x?

Pretty lame, truthfully. Its basically just an easy version disguised as a quicker workout.

I am getting ready to start T25 which is also made by Beachbody, maker of P90x. It is designed for people lacking time to work out and sense my little man arrived time is definitely lacking. Supposedly it is an hours worth of workout in 25 minutes. We shall see.

Let us know what you think of T25. It's like the p90x3 version of Insanity. I'm curious if there is enough warm-up on T25 to do right out of bed or if it's only 25 minutes because there isn't much warm-up which would mean I would have to do it after work when my body isn't cold and stiff.

I will definitely let you know what I think. I have a friend that is a beach body coach. She said they way they get so much intensity into 25 minutes is that there are literally no breaks at all. I don't expect this to be my only exercise outlet but for now it will have to do until I can find time to get back into my normal routine, or as close to it as possible. I am even thinking about buying a hybrid bike for cross training.

Thain, what did you think of T25?

Did Insanity yesterday morning, and I'm sore as hell today.

I got sick in 2013 and had to quit working out. Had surgery to correct the problem at the end of the year, but then the kid came along. Until yesterday, I hadn't worked out in 1.5 years. The wife talked me into getting back into working out for the New Year. F her.

When you out kick your coverage, I'd figure she could be a little less subtle in telling you you got fat.

To be honest we still haven't tried it. It got her and then all of us got sick. By the time we were well enough to start we were smack in the middle of Christmas time. I'm hoping to get it started next week when I get home from my Regional Meeting. I will keep you updated. I wish I was just ok with being fat.

We put together 3 cribs for a new dock at my buddy's cottage this weekend. Used 6x6 cedars to create the crib, then filled them all with rocks (had to harvest the rocks, load them onto a boat, load them into the cribs). I am a broken man.

Feats of strength indeed.

Banked in a 30 footer to close out our Tuesday night game. Cut it down to a 25-point loss.

When it left your hands, did you holler "window", "glass" or "cream on your momma"?

In my adult kickball league, I play centerfield and made a sliding one handed catch on Tuesday night. It was the highlight of our unblemished* season.

*The win column was unblemished

This made me laugh a lot.
