Eternal Feats of Strength Thread

At first I thought maybe I was breaking down protein and pissing it out which would be really bad because that can cause kidney failure. After 1 or 2 bottles of water it cleared up and I started to feel better so I am assuming it was dehydration which can also cause tea colored urine.

Running in another obstacle race this weekend. It's a 5k called the Warrior Dash. This one is in Huntersville, NC. Normally this would be a nice and easy race that I could coast through. However with the runners knee issues I have been fighting we will see how it goes.

For all non-pussies on this forum and who live in NC. Come run the Tough Mudder with me on November 2nd.

Nice Farmer! I have to say that after running a half, my body is not meant to go further than 13.1 miles at once.

right now I am taking in 2500 calories a day and just keep my macro's in line. i can't wait until august 17th so I can start bulking and get up to about 177-180lbs.

I have heard of this work out from a friend of mine big into crossfit. Did you do the squats with just the weight vest or were you using a squat bar?

Bodyweight air squats in the vest. when you're doing 300, you really don't need more than the vest.

Yeah I figured. I ask because I am thinking about moving my workout more toward a crossfit style. unfortunately my gym I built at home is a more traditional setup.

Got some new shoes and socks today and did my run home from work in 35 minutes. Previous personal best was 39.

Different type of shoes?

If not, that's one hell of a placebo effect.

Well, I've been training a ton as I'm doing the NYC marathon in Nov, and I'm 15 pounds lighter than I was this time last year. I haven't been focusing on running for time, but focusing on how long a time I'm out for, if that makes sense. Last night after work, I was like, fuck it, I'm going to blast home and see what happens. 7 minute miles for 5 miles is pretty damn good for an old man.

New shoes are Nike Free 5.0 and new socks are the new Kevin Durant high socks, lol. I normally run in no shows.

The 5.0's are really nice. I had been running in the OG Nike Run Free for about 3 years, have about 1500 miles on them and they are completely shot. I gave Johaad my newer pair last year because they didn't fit right, so I was way over due for some new shoes.

Busted out a nice 16 mile run this morning and polished off the day with an evening surf sesh in some chunky waves.

for those of you who are bulking up in your 20's, when you are in your 30's you will regret every pound. just stay lean, people

Teets, I am not sure if I will be in shape to do this Tough Mudder in time but I am I am about to start getting into training mode again. Since you are in Wilmington now if you need a running partner while training let me know.

I am 17. so i'm good for now.

I'm up to 173, which is 13 pounds up from where I was when I started bulking. I want to get to around 188-190 or March 1st, whichever comes first, then begin to cut.
