We had a guy smash the glass of our store, see that we had put the iPods away for the night, and scurry back out. The funny thing is that were a million other cases he could have smashed with equally valuable merchandise and clearly he knew the layout of the store enough to know that. Must have just panicked.

Also, half the time we forget to put the high-priced merch away so he just got really unlucky.

Man, am I exhausted. Two nights in a row with late night phone calls followed by lengthy clean ups. Installed cameras today, so if this happens again, the guys are toast.

Web cams are amazing right now. I installed it on my existing network, it records on my main PC, can be monitored from any browser anywhere, pans in any browser by simply dragging the screen, can be set to be motion activated, plus, once activated, has a cache so it will show 30 seconds before it gets activated. Can be set to turn on and off automatically at certain times of the day. Brilliant, and plug and play.

Anyway, nothing got stolen last night, just another 6 square feet of tiny glass shards to clean up scattered all over my store and parking lot.
