Seeing him come into the locker room at the end was pretty awesome

Lol I love that they used the music from Ignition at the end. So perfect.

Also lol at K's Iverson impression and at little kid Quinn Cook dumping two refilled cups on his head long after that part had ended. Look how excited he is running over from the cooler at 2:30.
Murph and little Plumlee were pretty giddy, too. Good stuff.

"Practice"?

I need to screenshot it, but there was one time Kadji shrugs his shoulders and turns toward his bench like "What the fuck am I supposed to do?"
I don't know if it's the same moment but I recall seeing Kadji smiling after Kelly hit yet another 3.

I thought I remembered it too, but now I can't find it. Is it just the one he hit with 6:30 left? (on DBP's top plays)

Ryan's senior speech was awesome. I think he's the true leader of this team.

I think he lost his virginity during his time off or something. He's just come back a whole new man.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

How TF did I miss this?

Welcome, Bman!!

He's really good peeps, everybody.

BTW, I've decreed that, if we make it to the FF, I'm going. And I'll buy your ticket as long as you buy my drinks for the weekend (financially, this could still be to my advantage)!

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

One minor correction: how could the UNC game in 2000 have been Shane's senior night? Should have been a junior, assuming that's actually the game you're talking about.

Appreciate all the effort you put into this. Man, seeing some of those '99 scores is just jaw-dropping. We beat UVA 115-69? Lol.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

Welcome! I actually saw this originally and thought it was a drive-by by the article's author, so I prepared to make a sarcastic reply. But then it was actually a really good article, which confused me. Friend of NOD makes sense.

I guess it's hard to say that Gminski against UNC wasn't better in terms of stats/comp/stage, so Kelly probably needs a "given the circumstances" qualifier for the best-ever claim. Not that that's much of a disclaimer, though.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

JJ's Virginia game should probably be there on the basis of efficiency.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

Yeah, was about to say that JJ seemed intentionally left off.

Maybe the author is trying to expose a little duke history prospective on the less knowledgeable.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

BTW, just for clarity, Bman isn't Alex Smith.

Alex was an undergrad with us (a yr behind us, B?), and is a friend.

You gotta forgive Alex for some factual inaccuracies -- he spent a lot more time studying his lines for plays and musicals than B and I did. ;)

We just drank a lot...

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

How the hell did he come up with that list, though? Aside from the JJ omissions, it's pretty damn comprehensive for K's tenure. Must have a Jim Sumnerish memory.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

Looked more like JJ's omission was unintentional. Like his notecard fell behind the desk.

Re: R Kelly : historical perspective

Nah, nobody has Jim's memory, nor his seemingly unparalleled ability to belittle others...
