Soccer

That was the most shocking result I have ever seen in all my years watching Soccer.

I have no words.

Trying to think of a comparison in sports, but I got nothing. Closest I've seen (a few times) is the assassination of JFK. Like.... Brazil as a country will never be the same. Unreal.

I have no doubt that Germany could've put up double digits if they had wanted to, never seen anything like it.

Seriously...........30+ years, and this was easily the most shocking game/result I have ever seen.

Brazil as a country will never be the same.
That actually may not be a bad thing - if Italy/Rossi killed off Samba Football in '82, then maybe Germany killed off the Anti-Samba Football that crept into the Brazilian game after that and took full hold from '94 onwards. There's going to be an entire generation of young professionals, kids at academies, and kids in the favelas who will wake up tomorrow and should be bound and determined that a day like today never happens in Brazilian football ever again.

Argentina vs. Germany.

Oh joy, it's an English fan's dream WC final. I just hope it's not a repeat of the 1990 disgrace.

 at Scolari in his postgame interview today:

"I continue to emphasise that in the last year and a half, we won [the Confederations Cup] and we were among the best four in the world.
----------------------
We were in the top four teams in the world. What we must do is to continue working as it has been working.
----------------------
"Today's match, I don't see how to criticise the Brazilian team. They ran after the result. They tried to play the game and I don't think it was a bad match by losing 0-3."

Hi. Yes, this is Arsene. I'd also like to order a world-class defensive midfielder please. Bender? Kheidera? Sure, which do you recommend? Do you perhaps have a left back off menu this evening?

Conte resigns as Juventus manager - had previously identified Pogba and Vidal as keys to his vision for the club. Maybe that means something. :shrugs:

van Gaal said he wants all transfer dealings done before US tour prep begins, which means either something's going to happen this week, or we're done for the summer. Still really want Vidal and another defender. The Di Maria rumor was something concocted by the media and/or his agent to drive his price up, really.

Saw this promoted during the World Cup, and had to check it out tonight:

El Rey Original: Matador

Pilot synopsis:

Tony Bravo, a DEA agent from Boyle Heights, is recruited by a little-known branch of the CIA for a top-secret mission: investigate the LA Riot—a professional soccer team—by going undercover as one of their players. Tony will need the espionage skills to impress his handlers and some fast footwork to make the team, or The Beautiful Game could end in sudden death. Is Tony in for the win?

Yes, it's every bit as cheesy as it sounds. :P

Hi. Yes, this is Arsene. Thank you very much for the Kheidera gift-basket. I will put him on my shelf next to my Wilshere and my Cazorla.

FWD- Alexi Sanchez/ Olivier Giroud/ Joel Campbell/ Sanogo
CMF- Ramsey/Wilshere/Kheidera/ Ozil/ Cazorla/ Rosicky/ Flamini/ Arteta/ Diaby
Wing- Podolski/ Gnabry/ Ox /Theo Walcott
Def: Per/ Koscielny/ Jenkinson/ Gibbs/ Nacho

If Arsenal add one or two defenders, that's your EPL favorite.

I know nothing about Manquillo but I like Debuchy a lot. Look at that speed on the outside and quality in the midfield and pure sex at forward and the Wall on the backline.

fucking lol
