Why do they count your funeral as among your own costs? It's not like they can bring you back to life.

I know know people who planned and prepaid for their own funerals. Certainly makes things a lot easier on that person’s family.

My dad’s cost $10,500 and we didn’t do anything special - just a regular, traditional funeral. I’m hopeful funeral costs come down though as the caskets and vaults and all that seem to be an older generation thing. Traditional funerals are a silly waste of money IMO. When we left the funeral home after choosing all of my dad’s stuff and getting the final cost, I told my wife to have me cremated and don’t even worry about keeping or spreading the ashes or anything like that.

The amount for retirement is very low, too. $700k is $35k per year from 65-85. Who the fuck is living off $35k per year in retirement? Is that a retirement worth having?

If a pauper's grave was good enough for Mozart, it should be good enough for us all.

Citizens of First World countries look at that health care premium price tag and go, wtf, America?

What is his goal? Is it about running for office as a dem? Or just trying to be the most woke NBA owner to keep Kyrie happy?

What’s the justification for this, besides wanting to win the election? How crazy does a specific market have to be for it to be deemed too crazy to be a data point?

If Trump were smart, he would run with this sort of disinformation rather than the usual. Nothing hits harder with suburban independents than daily Starbucks costs and the Fed.

Who still goes to Red Lobster? I understood it in the 90s when it was basically the only seafood restaurant around but now?

When I was young my family would embrace the white trash atmosphere some days and take us to the Golden Corral Buffet when they still had the unlimited all you can eat option for takeout, not just dine-in. It was still the 1990s so the hyper morbid obese weren’t *that* common yet in NC, but this was the first place I saw the 300lb+ among us fill up nearly a dozen or more trays — no vegetables of course —between them and their fat children, and walk (waddle?) with arms stacked full back out the door.

Needless to say by a few years later they were weighing take-out orders and charging by the pound.

Yeah, the whole 'all you can eat shrimp' shows a company woefully out of touch with its customer base. That was a self-administered poison pill only slightly less deadly than 'all you can eat lobster'. Clearly the executive who made the call hadn't glanced at his clientele in decades.
