I would guess that most good teams do not spend a lot of time being way behind. My one clear takeaway is that Duke doesn't get off to many bad starts, if at all. Maybe they will work on that over the next couple of weeks, because it would be interesting to see how they respond to such a game. Recall that Gonzaga fell behind by 10 to Baylor immediately and they were out on their feet, that game was over in 5 minutes.

Not gonna look this up but feels like Duke’s strongest period during games has been the “middle 20 minutes“ versus the first or last ten.

It might just be the middle ten minutes. We've blown several games open by going on a 10-0 run in the last minute or two of the half. Then we usually take that momentum into the start of the 2nd.

I'm okay with us not winning the ACCT. It doesn't seem like it helps us in the NCAA tourney. Tough for a young team to win three games in a row and then get right back up for another tournament 5-6 days later.

The thing is, if we tie with Notre Dame, we'd have done so playing a much better in-conference schedule and having beaten them head to head handily at their place.

In 2010, we split with Maryland. We still got the 1 seed because of some other tiebreaker.

The seven sportsbooks on my phone count the regular season title winner (Childress- I know you're gonna tell me there's no such thing, but whatever) as whoever gets the 1 seed, so I'm good with that.

ALSO insane that as much as our conference sucks, I feel like no small part of this is due to our non-Top-25 non-conference opponents being historically awful.

Our Non-Confernence SOS is 286th on KenPom -- and we played the Top 2 Teams on KenPom in our 11 non-conference games!
