I know he bought a long leash with that NCAA Tournament thing, but Collins's team losing tonight at home to previously 7-14 Penn State may be the low point of his NU tenure to date. His three best players are seniors, too.

He hasn't done well at all IMO since getting Northwestern into the NCAA Tournament. It could be argued they underachieved last year and are doing so again this season.

I would put Capel and Wojo ahead of him at this point. Capel is over achieving big time at Pittsburgh this year, and we already know he's an ace recruiter who has had some success previously at VCU and Oklahoma.

Marquette is currently ranked #10 in the country and while it's been a slow building process for Wojo, he's gotten it done and he's been recruiting well at Marquette throughout his time there. They lose Howard in the off-season but they bring a lot back, so they should be in the NCAA Tournament again next season.

Bill Self was so good in this game. Kansas scored numerous times ATO which were just really drawn up, and he had Kansas so well prepared, especially for the 3-2 which they just demoralized to open the 2nd half.

Howard is only a junior, Slap. It’s not a sure thing that he’ll leave early.

Posted it in the other thread but guess this is where it goes - Marquette/Wojo now two games up in the Big East standings. That league certainly seems down this year comparatively, but I guess a good accomplishment no matter. Never thought Wojo would win that conference championship when he went there.
