This is why I can't quite buy the argument that Grant Hill "carried" Duke to the championship game in 1994.

While he did play a large part in shutting down Glenn Robinson, his offense was bad in this game and he picked up his fourth foul with ten minutes left. While he was out, his team played just as well if not better. Tony Lang also did a great job on Robinson. But Jeff Capel was the real star of the game.

Anyway, fun if sort of ugly game to rewatch.

Those guys, plus the fact the 1994 team had a 6'11 legit center who shot 53/77, averaged 14.4 pts, 8.4 rebs, 2.2 blocks and a steal. I mean, I'd take that from Jahlil this year, although something like 16 and 10 would have better optics.

Parks down the stretch in NCAA Tourney:
vs Purdue: 15/10/3
vs. Florida: 11/11/3
vs. Arkansas: 14/7/2

Yeah, Parks.

I think the reason Hill got so much credit for the Tourney run was how K essentially ran a 1 out 4 in offense with Hill as the primary ball handler down the stretch during a lot of games. Hill was freaking awesome during the Tourney, but that was a hell of a squad.

I love that it starts with the Coach K commercial.

I enjoyed the pregame and halftime analysis. Better than 99% of what passes for analysis these days.

Much like 2010, that was a year where K REALLY changed things up stylistically. The diamond-and-one zone against temple with Grant in the middle helping double up whichever of Brunson, Jones or McKie was the most brilliant thing I've ever seen him do, just ahead of the halfcourt jump trap @ UNC in 2001.

I was convinced Capel was going to be a superstar after that year. He consistently exhibited great athleticism and court vision, much like Rasheed two years ago. Never progressed properly....I hope the same thing doesn't happen to Sulaimon.

From that, I learned Duke is ranked #2 in the preseason

It's going to be unbearable listening to both Jays and Greenberg talk about Duke. Thank christ Hubert Davis isn't there anymore.

Yeah, well I'm still going to wear my #22 Duke jersey to the Duke/Cuse game...I don't care what anyone says! (sniffle)

ESPN recently made the decision to promote Bilas to calling the Saturday night game in addition to extending his contract with the network through 2023. Vitale had been calling the Saturday primetime games with Dan Shulman since 2005, when they debuted.

There’s one more wrinkle to the show: Instead of announcing the sites in the preseason, ESPN announced it will do what College Football’s Gameday does – make a decision each week based on games that matter most or have the best storyline.

This is listenable now.

When did he become capable of putting the ball on the floor against NBA-level players?

Thanks for posting Andre's highlights, that was fantastic! I am pulling so hard for him to make the Miami roster.
