Player Jahlil Okafor

Dude is a monster. As many have predicted, Duke will have to manage his fouls, though.

I though Marshall played well in his absence.

Let's hope he doesn't get pernicious anemia, then.

You can see Okafor's hog.

Per ESPN: Jahlil Okafor touched the ball on 43% of Duke's half-court possessions when he was on the court Tuesday against Michigan State. The Blue Devils averaged 1.38 points per possession when Okafor got a touch, compared to 0.95 when he did not.

Not a good tournament offensively for Okafor. Trying to figure out how much length is bothering him against it being a case of shots not falling as easily. Probably somewhere in the middle. On the bright side, his uncle got into a dance off with some other fan during Jump On It in the second half. They even did a split screen on the jumbotron. His uncle killed it.

He was tired.

Temple battered the hell out of him, and Stanford was more physical than I expected. Seemed to be establishing position farther and farther away from the paint as the night progressed...which obviously helps no one as he's no threat from10-15 feet and only manages to fuck up spacing.

His conditioning will improve (I hope). No more back-to-back games during the regular season should help as well.

At least he rebounded the ball well tonight. I know he can score so this is more important to me.

Yes - he played a lot in the Stanford game (34 min) after the Temple game so I can understand why he may be a bit worn out.

Looking way ahead:

Although I really like Meeks' game, but there is no way he or Carolina's other bigs can guard Jahlil. Not a chance.
