Did BJ all the sudden decide he wants to be called Melvin? I'm seeing that everywhere and I never saw it before, even seeing him play here in Durham. Is this a Mike/Giancarlo Stanton thing?

Pretty much B.J. stood for Bossman (His dads nickname) Jr. and now he changed it to honor his dad's real name.

We saved a lot of money and weren't going to win this year anyway. Its like 1988 all over again.

He decided a few months ago that he was going to go by Melvin from now on, I think in hopes of giving off the appearance of a "fresh start".

To pour salt into an open wound Heyward has look Great in his Cardinals debut tonight.

The Braves need to move Simmons and Freeman for more top prospects and completely bottom out. I'm talking like 40 wins the next two years and load up on young guys. Hopefully with Roy Clark back in the scouting department, the drafts will actually produce good players. If you're going to suck in baseball, go all out and get those top picks which you're guaranteed to get.

Had no idea it was opening day. David Price 8.2 innings, 0 runs. This makes up for losing a national championship today.

I was listening on the radio. Can't believe they didn't let him get the final out.

I'm actually stunned the Braves scored a run today. It'll be like that all season for me. These are the little victories in life.

Tigers starters go 23+ innings through 3 games, allow 0 ER. No Verlander yet, which explains it.

Peaking in early April again. Also says more about the Twins.

Braves are 3-0. They're sucking at this whole rebuilding idea. The point is to lose - a lot.

I want to complain about the Yankees being trash this year, but after watching that NCAAT, it's really hard to muster any kind of passion for fucking April baseball. I'd rather just rewatch Duke games. I may check back in around Memorial Day.

I don't know how anyone can get excited about regular season baseball until mid-August at the earliest. Maybe that's just the spoiled Yankees fan in me, but 162 games??? A team can lose like 8 in a row and be totally fine.
