The lesson, as always: Duke grads eavesdrop on private conversations illegally, Maryland grads cook and rape women.

Chris Christie is irate. He flat out blamed the mayor of Atlantic City for whatever happens during this storm, since he told his residents to stay put and ride it out.

AC is basically underwater.

Things are way worse on the outer banks right now than they have been at any time since Friday. This storm is going to fuck up the whole east coast from here north.

Power out in Manhattan 40th street and down.
For those that know, will this affect the Howard Stern show and the Sirius XM studios?

Patients, including newborn babies, are being evacuated from hospitals that have lost power in a hurricane. Caravan of ambulances transporting them to hospitals that still have power.

This seems like it could be Katrina-bad in the northeast, especially, as the water continues to rise. Scary stuff.

I wonder if we'll get insurance companies in the NE:

1) denying damage claims due to the wind-vs-water exception
2) refusing to cover any homes that are near water in NC, VA, MD, NJ, Boston, and NY
3) triple/quadruple/ quintuple insurance rates for everyone in these areas

It'll be a fascinating next few months...

Probably. Insurance rates at the beach in NC are out of hand

I'll take that over having to carry three 400-lb patients UP 5 flights of stairs (in the dark, and 100-degree heat) to the roof so they could be evacuated via Blackhawk.

Gimme a 3-lb newborn anytime...
