We had live threads on the old James board. They were pretty sweet, but sometimes glitchy. If the kinks have been worked out, they're far superior to chat if you prefer everything to be archived and re-readable after the event.

With the Xenforo add-on threads can be defined as live or not live. Which would be nice so that all threads don't use it.

Currently, we get a little line under the last message in the thread that says "a new message had been posted" or something, and you have the option of clicking to show it. A live thread would simply show the message instead of giving that little line first.
