These people are murderers. Not gonna sugarcoat it. They are human scum, and they are singing on the House floor about the eventual deaths of tens of thousands.

And they literally say things like the Republican plan reduces "the costs to those people who lead good lives, they’re healthy, they’ve done the things to keep their bodies healthy." When one of them is diagnosed with cancer, does that prove they've lived a bad life? Are they kicked out of their rich murderer club? Or is the real bad life they're referring to simply not being rich?

It was the house dems who were singing

Correct. The Republicans walked into the chamber playing the Rocky theme song. Then left in party buses filled with Bud Light (lol) to go for a photo-op at the WH for a half-passed bill. Fucking morons.

Yes, my apologies. I assume they picked Bud Light because it's the most "American" beer they could find.

Axe, have you actually travelled to other countries? Or better yet, lived in one for an extended period of time?
Real Americans only live in other countries during military occupation.

Lol why? America is the best. It would be stupid to live somewhere else and settle for less than the best.

This is the Big Baller attitude, I approve!

On an unrelated note, I've always wondered how well a BBQ joint would do in a country like Germany. They do their meats all wrong.

mexican food is the future in europe

That's the truth. I had some of the best tacos of my life in... Edinburgh of all places.

Damn I loved Edinburgh

I have traveled but not enough. I can't imagine anywhere coming close to the magic that is NY, NY, USA.

Trump was personally involved in finding out who tweeted out the crowd size comparison photo from the national park services twitter account. Leader of our country upset about a tweet, good god what a child.

So your opinions on America and the world are based on your own limited imagination?

I don't really care about this argument one way or another, but I don't believe for a second that the unemployment rate in India or Mexico is that low.
Yeah, those numbers surprised me as well. However, I don't know how different countries calculate their unemployment rates.

Regardless, it's not like the US is some shining beacon of employment compared to other nations.
also to be clear, the participation rate in the labor force has been dropping for quite some time now and is near all time highs. Many of these people give up looking for jobs. 4.4% is only the rate for those actively looking.

This is silly. Nobody can visit every country in the world. That said, we have some strong indicators to determine which is best.

The U.S. has the largest GDP in the world. The most advanced military that dominates anything in its path when the politics allow such. NYC is the capital of high finance and houses the true power players of the world. Vegas and LA and Miami are sexy as Hell. Went to the moon. Integral to the development of modern cinema, pornography, cars, flight, the computer, the internet and its applications, etc. The U.S. leads the world in direct foreign investment and brings in more immigrants than anyone else (I think we should be bringing in a lot more, and we fucked up with the Chinese Exclusion Acts and the WW2 quotas). America is the global epicenter of essentially everything and is the world's leader in allowing and advocating for free speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and equality for people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.

Just sit back, relax, crack open a cold Coke or Pepsi (your choice), and watch a classic film like American Pie or Cool Hand Luke. Should get you in the flag-waving spirit.

Do you read your own posts? Or the responses to the them?

Nothing you just posted has anything to do with being able to "imagine anywhere coming close to the magic that is NY, NY, USA."

Why would Cool Hand Luke get me in the flag waving spirit? Do you even know what it's about?

Because it's an American classic!

I don't understand the condescension. Of course I know what it's about.

Another classic that gets my red/white/blue blood pumping is Scarface! You can imagine my reaction when I first heard Future's song, "Tony Montana".

He's our worst ever troll. Maybe that'll make him happy, to be the Best Worst.

^ The internet emboldens certain types of people to be dicks. I am not a troll. Pretty sad that someone is accused of being a troll for loving his country.

I mean, he definitely ACTS like a Trump voter

Nah. Trump is not even a fiscal conservative. $25 billion wall? Going after the big banks? (which was reported this week)

No thanks.

Holy shit...........no access to the forum for a day and a half or so, and what have I waded back into?

Maybe you're not actually a troll and you somehow sincerely believe at least half of what you've posted over the last couple of pages. I don't know you personally, so I can't say. What I CAN say is that from my perspective as an immigrant, you remind me of three types of persons I have become familiar with in my lifetime both abroad and since moving here:

1. The foreigners and/or immigrants who speak more from the vantage point of being on the outside looking in and buy into all the positives whilst remaining ignorant or blissfully unaware of everything else, OR
2. The rah-rah-Toby-Keith-flag-waving-keep-the-Confederate-flag-heritage-alive-apple-pie-rock-and-roll-mount-"Don't-Tread-On-Me"-flag-right next-to-the-Stars-and-Stripes-from-pickup crowd that I've had at least two ugly encounters with in recent times who remind me that by and large, they still look at people like me with disdain, OR
3. On the flip side of (2), a young moderate con from a privileged background who dabbles in high society and is guaranteed a path through elite education and eventually a lucrative salary thanks to whom you know.
