One of the problems up here is that Universities are not being honest with the number of sexual assaults occurring within the student body. Once the problems are acknowledged, more effective support programs can be developed for victims and therefore victims can report without fear of being ignored/dismissed.

It is a situation where the students have had to protest to try to make structural change within the schools, as opposed to the institutions effectively engaging the students.

I also can't ignore that that is a larger societal problem, but I believe post secondary schools need to be more involved in making changes.

My main thing was that there's a ton of institution quashing of legitimate cases and there's a ton of protection around athletes in particular.

I was also offended by the idea that "women" is somehow a special interest group. In the US at least, chances are very high a woman you know has been raped. So to act like there's somehow this plague of false reporting and people with agendas declaring people guilty without evidence ignores that the vast majority of the time that's not the case. This doesn't even take into account the number of incidents that go unreported.

Yeah but now not only will we pay for the internet, they are going to determine what we can find and look at.

Saw a video on yahoo about a guy trying to break into a Mercedes. He throws some small rocks and gets nowhere. He comes back a few minutes later and chucks a huge brick into the window. It bounces off and hits the guy right in the face, knocks him out cold. If I wasn't on my phone I'd link it. It was an amazing failure.
 
I need to lease a new vehicle yet know nothing about them. I have only three real requirements.

1. I want better gas mileage than my current vehicle 1998 ford explorer. It gets like 12-14 miles per gallon.
2. 2 to 3 weeks a year the roads will suck because of snow and ice so I need something that isn't completely awful in those conditions.
3. I also need it to be automatic, don't know or want to know how to use manual.

I'm leaning more towards a Honda civic type though perfect world a sports car type that won't kill my wallet. Any suggestions from those that know anything about cars?

Honda Civic is a very dependable car and meets all of your requirements.
 
CK, as serious advice from someone who also doesn't know cars, just pick whatever Honda or Toyota is in your ideal price range.

Today I found an enormous box from Amazon addressed to me outside my door. I opened it. It was full of 8x11 padded envelopes with nothing inside them. This is not something I ordered.
