College Basketball Recruiting

It's not a question of whether Frank and Duval can play together. It's a question of whether Duval wants to. He may not be "scared," but he also may be aware that Frank is going to play 30 minutes.

And what about Knox makes you think he's a 3? His mediocre three-point shooting? His okay handle? Justise had far more perimeter skills than Knox has and the 4 ended up being his best position. Additionally Knox is several inches taller than Justise and just as physically strong. Any lineup with Knox at the 3 is going to suffer with respect to spacing, but his average perimeter skills become an asset at the 4.

He has improved his 3-point shooting and handle, and it is something he's still working on, but you are right- spacing could be an issue. I think, defensively, a lineup of Duval, Kennard, Knox, Carter, and Bamba would/will be dynamite. You'd then have Frank off the bench with the ability to play 1 or 2. Trent Jr. with the ability to play the 2. Offensively, we very well could see a Duval/Frank/Luke/Trent lineup of death with Carter or Bamba as the rim protector. There are so many possibilities when you assemble this type of talent. Of course, Frank could go pro and Bamba could wind up at UCONN or Kentucky, but I doubt it.

UNC 0% on 257 Crystal Ball. Down to Kentucky and TCU.

I'm not sure why a versatile forward with NBA aspirations would not consider UNC.

UNC fans stunned to hear Vanderbilt chose UK over them, blame the NCAA.

Sounds about right. I don't think he'd be that great as a college player anyway. Seems like the kind of guy who could slowly develop actual basketball skills in the pros, if he develops them at all.

Once again, Cal is ahead of Katie. Recruits better young men who don't trip anyone, plays a deeper rotation, doesn't drop anvils on his players' feet as punishment, doesn't force elite talents like Giles to play.

Pretty sure Kentucky could go ahead and sign a contract with an actual NBA team as their official farm team. It's the most logical next step.

I thought that was a really odd place for him to land to begin with. Not surprised by this at all, and I agree with you - please, stay away from Duke.

I say go for it. He's probably scared off any Duke targets we could've landed and Trent and Carter are already locked in.
