I'm not certain I want him too proficient with the three. If he were to shoot 35-40% with everything else he brings to the table, no chance he stays more than one year.

If Michael Kidd-Gilchrist can be useful to a college team and go in the lottery, I don't see why Justise shouldn't.

Coach K used to be able to use a player like that. And we saw him do it on the US team (albeit a larger version, and at the 4 position). No reason to think he can't do it again.

My hope is that the MKG experience of the BobHornets will preclude another team from taking such a player with such a high draft pick. Unfortunately, NBA GMs tend to be slow learners.....

I think MKG is a great comparison of a guy with a lot of skills except jump-shooting. I do think one thing that differentiates them is that MKG, in terms of defense and ball-handling, was more of a short 3-4 tweener, where as Justise, though a similar size, is likely thought of as a pure 3 or even a 2-3 tweener.

Second of all, Sheed can authoritatively flush it, and does with some degree of regularity.

His problem is with layups -- he dunks just fine.
