Food and Alcohol

Obviously the Bojangles menu options are limited for me, but I have a soft spot for any fast food restaurant where the counter help uses a microphone to place my order to the kitchen.

That shit is awesome.

To @aiw , is cocciolo osteria where I should go for my birthday?

To @rhfarmer and @rome8180 , you guys tried the Beyond Burgers and Sausages? They’re pricey, but for my money the most satisfying fake meat.
I was really impressed, Ben. My wife had the carbonara, which was comparable to Gocciolina’s, but this truffle thing is making my mouth water right now.

We also had a couple of bruschette and some fried gnocchi/prosciutto/mozzarella thing that was really good.

Pretty cool spot, too. You will need a reservation. Even with that, we had to sit at the bar.
Boom, reservation made. That menu looks even better than gocciolina.
One of you better get the truffle pasta or I will kill you.
You won me some major points tonight. Nice assist.

We did some bruschetta, the carpaccio (amazing), the mushrooms, truffle pasta (seriously, wtf. So good), and some clam pasta (good, but I’d go with something different in the future).

I’d definitely order the bruschetta and mushrooms again.

In-N-Out is just okay. I don't get the hype. The fries kind of sucked. The burger was pretty good, but there aren't that many choices. They only have three flavors of milkshake.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by Bojangles' and Cook Out.

Agree, In-N-Out is just an okay burger to me. There are probably five places I can go in Wilmington right now that have much better burgers, but a Hardee's burger is preferable to me than In-N-Out. Plus, Hardee's has a disgustingly good strawberry shake.

I wonder, does Carl's Jr has the same menu as Hardee's?

I've only been to Hops once because it's always ridiculously busy. Easily a top three burger of my life though.

Would this be a good time to tell you guys about my "Beef -- It's what's rotting in your colon" t shirt?

By the way, @rhfarmer if you're ever in Chicago you HAVE to go there. One of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants I've ever eaten at. Been there since the '80s.

I would strongly recommend the truffle mushroom lentil loaf.

I've never had N in Out but I'm really not that big on Cookout. 5 guys is my favorite burger place.

My wife made moules frites tonight. They were unbelievable.

The variety in quality of grocery store pizzas is incredible. I got these Red Baron pizzas for $3. They are garbage. Why would anyone pay $7 for this?

California Pizza Kitchen pretty good, Palermo's very good, and Private Selection (made by Kroger but sold at Mariano's in Chicago) is downright fantastic. Legit better than most restaurant pizza.

Freschetta is very good, Home Run Inn is great if you can find it. /Terrible Parent Who Raised Children on Frozen Pizza and Still Eats It
