Seeing Walton Goggins in "Sons of Anarchy" as a transvestite prostitute was a bit of a surprise.

Really enjoyed the Zombie slaughter last night.

I only watched parts of the first season. Jumped straight in on this one. My roommate was able to catch me up to speed.

Didn't DVR for some reason. Is taping on Fri

It was a really good episode. However they continue to kill off the wrong characters.

I guess the woman with cancer is still alive. They also won't kill the wife until she delivers, at least.

The entire 2nd season can be explained thoroughly in approximately 15 seconds.

Yeah, it's interesting. The comics (sorry, graphic novels) have very little dialogue. It's interesting that there is so much dialogue (and frequently redundant dialogue) in the series. I like it though. I mean the idea of Zombies is ridiculous, but the way people react when society crumbles is interesting to me. Plus, the slaughter. Love the slaughter. It's so wanton now. They used to freak out about killing, now they are like, "here, over here", and just dispatch the zombies with cool efficiency.

How many episode of "Freaks and Geeks" does one need to watch before it becomes awesome? I'm two episodes in and really just not feeling it so far.

Zack, you may have been too cool in high school to like Freaks and Geeks.

Meh, I wasn't all that cool in high school.

You need to watch roughly three minutes of it.

Just like when I kept trying to get DurhamSon to watch more of The Wire because eventually he might think it was good. And then I realized that if he didn't think it was awesome after the first episode it was a lost cause.

Ah, so I should stop watching completely?

I will trust your judgement.

I disagree with that point on the wire. It took me 7 episodes (I think) to get fully into it.

And on Freaks and Geeks, I definitely enjoyed the show, but didn't think it was the greatest thing ever made. I didn't really identify with the characters (neither the freaks nor the geeks) and just had a different high school experience. Maybe it was more that the show was set in the 80s, but for me, I never experienced the sharp divide between the groups (at least not to that level) that was portrayed on the show. For me, the enjoyment was more about the relationship between Lindsey and Jason Segel and seeing all the famous people.

Don't hate me.

A theory I'm seeing thrown around a lot after Homeland S02D03:

The bad guys realized the Brody video chip was missing and knew they had to kill Brody off at that point. So they were setting him up to be killed at the safe house, and the tailor/bombmaker was in on the plan. Basically this means everyone is out to get Brody now. One problem I see is, how will they keep the show going for several more seasons like this? Another problem is, why wouldn't they make this more obvious? I understand that hitting us over the head with it would be obnoxious, but this is not something that was clear enough to insult our intelligence with more clues. But I think there are more plot holes if this theory isn't true.

This was my thought as well after watching it. Only difference is I believe they wanted the bomb maker dead as well
Too much of a coincidence that 'safe house' is explicitly mentioned again after the way they showed the rigged safe house in season one, and that Brody was asked to do such a menial task after Nazir knew that the CIA had the recording of him

I honestly can't see how this goes beyond three seasons without becoming extremely stale.

I just got caught up with the third episode of season 2.

I don't really see any way for that story to play out. They would have to do a TON of stretching to make that story last an entire season. It would make for some terrible television. For the time being, I'm just going to assume the copy of the chip that was taken from Saul has convinced Nazir that everything is on the up and up.
