To be fair, he gets at least one foul per game that is what you might call a "self-sacrifice" foul. I.e. - his teammates sucked at defense and he hacks someone's arm to prevent a layup. He knows he's not going to play 40 minutes and so he's okay with taking the foul to prevent two surefire points.

Yep, he makes a bad foul once in a while, but most of the time he's stopping a guaranteed 2 points. And he usually makes sure his fouls don't result in and 1's.

I would be interested in seeing some sort of numbers on that. Like, how many shooting fouls does Tyler commit where the basket is actually made? If that was the kind of stat that was tracked, I'd wager Tyler is about the most efficient player in history at it.

TT's Senior Night.

More often than not, he has been a smart, heady player who makes positive impacts on the floor. Never dynamic, but almost always steady. Always a tough player.

When TT committed, most fans could have expected an Andre Buckner type of career. He came with no hype and IIRC was not a top 100 recruit. Objectively, you have to agree that he has far exceeded expectations at Duke. Incredibly, TT seeming became one of the more polarizing Duke players amongst Blue Devil fans. How the hell did this happen?
