Well then, hope he has enough legitimate credits to transfer over from Cuse so Admissions doesn’t cock block us.
 
Looks like he played C half his time for Cuse, and PF the other half. I think Scheyer envisions him mostly playing PF while three 5-star recruits man the C position. I don’t think the intention is to strictly recruit over Maluach, Ngongba and Stewart. Recruit over Power and shift Flagg to SF for most of the time - this makes more sense.

I'm going to be quite unhappy if we get him and Sean departs. He seems like a good all-around player, and surely less of a spaz/wild-card, but also nowhere near the rebounder or shotblocker Sean was, even with a higher % of his minutes not coming next to a 5 last year.

Just saw he is All ACC first team defense maybe is why? Maybe this is the shift from freshman to portal strategy real time but it’s just awkward with what we have already done. Or maybe Jon’s going all in on being a defensive juggernaut
 
Brown also made the ACC all defensive team, receiving the 3rd most votes behind 2 Virginia guys. Would be a huge get.
 



Any rumblings on this guy? Seems like a good fit to push Evans, Harris and Knueppel out of the rotation so there’s no reliance on freshmen besides Flagg next season.
 
Yeah, I think the plan for next year is just be a monster defensive team and offensively hope for Cooper to be Superman, Proctor and Foster to be solid, and dominate the offensive boards.
 
... with the added note that all of the defensive additions are also like in the top 25 players in the country in eFG or TS.

He's the best fit so far, imo. He's only ever played around 20 mpg. He's low usage. I don't think he'd mind a fluctuating role. If he was worried about the size of his role, he would have transferred from Purdue a long time ago.
 
This Gillis highlight reel is like basketball porn. I get that it's culled from 4 years, but it's really easy to see what he brings to the table besides his actual 3-point shooting: a very high level of court vision, functional athleticism, and motor.

He's like a buff David McClure who shoots 40+% from outside.

Brown and Gillis are supposed to be very good defensively. As are Flagg and Proctor. And hopefully Maluach. That’s what I meant.

I am hoping that Gillis and Brown were selected though based on a sorting of Kenpom Oratings.

Meanwhile check out Kobe Brea from Dayton who just entered the portal. Sexiest offensive profile I have seen.
 
I like the three-point shooting, obviously, but he seems like a guy that doesn't really do anything else, right?
