SignUp Now!Maybe throw Joe Harris out there and see if he can hit NBA 3s? He hit 40.7% for his college career on 646 attempts. Surely he could develop into a decent NBA 3 shooter. Plus he actually learned how to play defense in college unlike Kyrie or Waiters.best4heisman said:Imagine how great the Cavs offense would be with a 3 and D guy like Danny Green playing the 2.
SeanMayTriedToEatMe said:This trade helps everyone:
Pistons receive:
Dion Waiters
Expiring contracts within the next 2 years
some picks
Cavs receive:
Stan Van Gundy
Jodie Meeks
Josh Smith
Cavs lineup post trade:
Kyrie Irving
Jodie Meeks (Waiters level defense, not an idiot on offense, just shoots open 3s)
Lebron James
Josh Smith (protects the rim and shoots well in the paint, versatile defender)
Kevin Love
Coached by Stan Van Gundy
Pistons bottom out even more, assured of getting an elite SF in the draft, might even get Mudiay. Also shed Josh Smith's and Jodie Meeks' big contracts for shorter deals from the Cavs.
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving exchanged words in the Cleveland Cavaliers' locker room following the team's 19-point loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night, and it led to Irving leaving quickly without speaking to the media, multiple sources told ESPN.com. The discussion was seen as healthy, sources said, with the veteran James voicing concerns about the direction of the Cavs' offense. James addressed Irving to discuss the way he'd been dominating the ball in the early going of the season. Irving hasn't had an assist in more than six quarters, and he's taken 36 shots in that span. The Cavs tied a franchise-record low with six assists, four of them from James, against the Jazz.

Sounds like Lebron was trying to have a calm, reasonable discussion with Irving, supported by statistical evidence, whereas Irving obviously pouted, cried and stormed out of the room without talking to anyone for the rest of the night, ultimately landing in front of his TV to play video games with Tyler Thornton online.
