Duke up to #1 Offense on Kenpom. Defense climbing back, at 11 right now. Probably would be nice to hold Davidson to 55 points or something.
NC State is some even more fucked up version of us last year, trending at #7 on offense and #144 on defense. Zero excuse not to score 90 on them?

There is hardly any separation between teams 1-4, and KU really isn't far behind at 5. We'll probably be bouncing around 1-5 in the next few weeks.

Duke now with a 10% chance of an unbeaten season. I think im one of the few sane people that thinks there is a legitimate shot of this happening. Our biggest obstacle lost their biggest weapon in our matchup. Just have to win on the road at NCSU, UNC, and UVA and we should do it.
Naturally, we'll lose to world-beaters Wake Forest

Not enough has been made of Kentucky's non-conference performance. As of right now, Kentucky has 2 wins over top-200 Pomeroy teams. One was Maryland in the opener. The other was Marshall, currently #188 and about to drop from that. They'll have to start playing top-200 competition now, but don't expect too much from the SEC: they won't play a top-50 team until at least January 29 (Ole Miss, who very well could be out of the top-50 by then). If not Ole Miss, then their next opponent of any consequence will be Florida on February 12.

Michigan's adjusted defensive efficiency has fallen significantly from #20 to #39 (especially after the Central Michigan game). But I get the impression that this is a bit misleading for Michigan since the Wolverines tend to build huge leads (20+ points) and then ease up on defense for much of the 2nd half.

Heading into their first loss of the season, Duke finally wears the geek crown. Duke fans can hold Pomeroy in high esteem once again, as he has finally fixed his broken algorithm and put Duke at #1.
Last year's defense was an aberration.
