What is this UNC team's destiny?

Had nowhere else to go is right. I feel like that's the key for continuity, get productive college players who are missing that bit that would make them appeal to the NBA.

I'm ok with it. This is definitely the funniest and most embarrassing outcome for him and UNC in general imo.

He just producted them to the NIT.

If you want continuity, there's a lot of it in the Summit League/

They are losing a total of 7 players from last year's roster, btw

Jokes aside, this does suck. Obviously they have a lot of roster building left to do but Bacot raises both the floor of this team and the ceiling if they put the right pieces around him.

UNC's NIL game is a lot better than ours though. They are getting Paolo/Lively level $$$ for players who won't sniff the league like Bacot and it shows. Eight/Nine figure net-worth Duke alums with how rich they are seem to be some combination of indifferent/lazy in comparison. Rachel whatever isn't doing her job, unless it's really as pointless as working out meager $100,000 deals for Flip to make instagram posts about some local food truck company

Armando Bacot was the 27th ranked recruit. He averaged 9.6 ppg and 8.3 reb on 46.9% shooting as a freshman.

Mark Mitchell was the 20th ranked recruit. He averaged 9.1 ppg and 4.5 reb on 46.9% shooting as a freshman.

UNC is getting a 5th year of Bacot. We're sitting here just hoping we get a 2nd season of Mark Mitchell, despite scouts being completely uninterested in him just like they were in Bacot.

Is it? Bacot has gotten a lot deals but has anyone else?

Who else have they had since this started two years ago that was worth paying though? At least among their returnees. Bacot is basically it; he would have left after 2021 if not for NIL money.

Meanwhile we can't find a nickel for players who are willing to take their chances in the 2nd round

Was it him, or was it Caleb Love that did that.
