2018 ACC Tournament

I just see him catching it in the middle and driving over and over. And Carter fouling out in five minutes.

It should be a good test for the zone. It's worth noting that even when Colson has played, this ND offense has not been the juggernaut of years past. Frankly, I could see Carter's length and great timing being a huge issue for Colson.

I don’t recall did we play any zone when we played last? IRC the game was close then we just went on a massive run in the second half. I’m really nervous about how our zone holds up against them especially with Bonzie back and how he scores in and around the paint.

No it was still man. They did only put up 51 against Syracuse's zone in early Jan but that was without both Colson and Farrell so not really a helpful data point.

I expect ND will put it on us a little bit early. After that, I guess we're gonna be left to hope that we really are as good as we think we are or that ND will run out of gas. Because if it's close late and ND isn't sucking wind, I have little to no confidence that we can actually beat Bonzie and Farrell down the stretch.

I also firmly believe Louisville will beat UVa, so we'll find out early whether I have a clue today.

I would have rather played VT because they’re already in the tournament. For Notre Dame, this is essentially a play in game and they’ll have significant crowd support.

I feel like Duke does betterl against teams that don't clutch and grab, which VT does in spades.

Duke-Forum Sportsbook will face its toughest test and will likely fail like Duke men's basketball today. Only two ACC lines set by any book so far, and the lines for Xavier, Villanova, Kansas, Porter's debut all still TBD.

Virginia -7 vs. Louisville
Clemson -4 vs. Boston College

Other interesting ones:

Nevada -6 vs. UNLV
Arizona -9 vs. Colorado
Creighton -4 vs. Providence
West Virginia -5 vs. Baylor
Butler -1 vs. Seton Hall
Montana -11 vs. North Dakota
Texas Tech vs. Texas

Brey is not a good defensive coach, but he's also not an idiot. He was one of the few coaches who gladly let Duke play Okafor ball against his team in 2015. I expect a defensive scheme much like the VT game last Monday where Duval and DeLaurier are not guarded at all outside 10 feet.

Syracuse has now lost their last 7 games against UNC, going all the way back to their first ACC season that had their lone win. Can this old useless fuck just retire already? He's not gonna catch K in the win column regardless.

Cuse played so poorly lastnight. That was an awful display of basketball.

He will no doubt encourage Tre to play outside of his strengths.

One item I think the Devils really have to commit to for the ND game is staying out on the wing shooters when Farrell drives to the rim. VT collapsed on Farrell routinely which led to easy perimeter looks for their wings. Let Farrell try to get a shot at the rim with Wendell or Bolden staying in the paint.

Bonzie has never faced a frontcourt like Bagley/Carter/Bolden/DeLaurier. Combine that with our historic zone.

We're just better and we coast to a victory.

ExactIy, and the one thing I've noticed about Duke's zone is that the penetration from opponent's guards has been cut down to a minimaI.

I guess i'm the only one thinking we spank ND hard tonight? I thought the mental block ended against them last year.

The line just came out and Duke is -6 over ND, and uNC is -6 over Miami

Wow, the first lines posted only have Duke -6. That's gonna go up to -8 or -9 me thinks.
